Click & Collect Policy
Click & Collect orders are prepared to ensure the chocolates are in their absolute best condition when collected.
Orders will be held for 30 days from the date you are notified that your order is ready for pickup.
If an order is not collected within 30 days, the products will be returned to stock and no refund will be issued.
This policy exists because:
-
Chocolate quality can change over time depending on storage conditions.
-
Many orders are prepared specifically for the customer or contain bespoke elements.
-
We cannot guarantee the taste, presentation, or overall condition of products beyond this period.
For this reason, we require all Click & Collect orders to be collected within the 30-day holding window.
If you believe you may have difficulty collecting within this timeframe, please contact us in advance so we can assist where possible.
Shipping Fuel Adjustment Policy
At Devonport Chocolates, we’re committed to delivering your orders with care, consistency, and reliability.
Due to recent volatility in fuel prices, we have introduced a Variable Fuel Factor (VFF) to help manage the increased cost of delivery while maintaining the level of service you expect.
How this works
- The VFF is a small, variable adjustment applied to shipping rates.
- It is calculated based on recent fuel price movements.
- This ensures our delivery pricing remains fair and reflective of current conditions.
How fuel pricing is calculated
- We use fuel pricing data from BP, our primary fuel supplier, as a market-based reference.
- This replaces previous reliance on MBIE data, which is currently unavailable due to market volatility.
Update frequency
- The VFF is reviewed weekly.
- Adjustments are made where necessary in response to fuel price changes.
Current methodology
- From 30 March 2026, the VFF is calculated based on the average fuel prices from the previous two weeks, with a one-week lag.
- For example:
- The VFF applied from 30 March reflects fuel prices from the weeks ending 15 March and 22 March.
Our approach
We’re continuously working to absorb as much of these cost increases as possible, while ensuring we can continue delivering your orders smoothly and reliably.
We appreciate your understanding and continued support.
